[email protected] is the only address we monitor. Put the entry slug in the subject line if you are writing about a specific piece — for example "three-pass-glazing-oil".
Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If a drying time in our table does not match your studio, tell us your room temperature, your medium ratio and your support, and we will re-run the panel and update the entry with the second data point rather than replacing the first.
What we cannot help with
We do not give valuations, attributions or insurance assessments, and we do not advise on the treatment of a specific painting you own — that needs an accredited conservator who can examine the object. We also do not take commissions or sell work through this site.
Press and permissions: the diagrams and photographs on this site are ours. Ask before republishing; classroom and non-commercial teaching use is normally fine with attribution.
